Is it that one has got picked pockets and the other hasnt?

Is it that with the Liverpool Direct computer, McElhinney is able to read your private emails?

Do you get a free blonde with the McElhinney computer?

The variation in price is quite fantastic - I think the regulators described this arrangement as “opaque”. Obvious fraud might have been a more apt description.

Could the organisers add a 4th prise, for the winning entrant: A quiet night out with the regulator. I’m sure there are people in this city able to subtly describe other incomprehensible anomalies!

Does the P C stand for Peter Cosgrove?

Speaking as a City Councillor, I can tell you that for the same £2k a year, I get the exclusive use of a second hand lap-top, no printer or scanner. I would think the lap-top is probably about 4 years old and was originally issued to another councillor who then lost their seat and it was passed on to me as their successor councillor.

So that is £8k so far, that tax payers have paid for that laptop. I wouldnt mind but it doesnt even make the tea!

this competition is soooooooo easy.
the first one is common sense the second one has been organised by the city council. where do i claim my prize

You can actually buy the one from PCWorld.
The £2,000 one from LDL is just the annual service charge. The Council still has to "purchase" the PC for almost twice the PCWorld price but never actually owns it. They remain the property of LDL. Which is nice.

If LDL bought the PCs from PC World and added on a 50% profit uplift the cost would be :£650 inc VAT
That means for say a 5 year life they would have charged £9,350 for the service support.

This would equate to a consultant on site with the commuter for 233 hours at £40 per hour. (46.6 hours per annum

I cant recall having a computer expert working on my computer for over a week full time every year for the last 5 years can anyone else? In fact we are lucky to be able to even get hold of IT at all!

What about the mobile phones, most council workers are told to use them for their work, they are rented from LDL. Call charges to BT of course.

...and then Mcilhenny monitors who you are speaking to....Classic!!!!!!

You can't see it in the pictures but the keyboard on the McElhinney version comes preloaded with stray blonde pubes between the keys.

Speaking of hi-tech money wasting, why has nobody taken a look at the £24,000,000 pink elephant that is Liverpool Digital?

Running for several years as a 'Center of Digital Excellence' they have a history of delivering nothing and supporting nobody unless the powers that be get thier back handers.

While you're looking at people pissing away money, think how many schools, homes, nursing facilities, attempts to put a scouser on the moon could have been made with £24 MILLION POUNDS of ERDF/Objective 1 money?

While the council are awful, and we obviously live in the most corrupt city in the world (at least Hatton held his hand up when he was caught!) the NWDA and government office are doing nothing about it.

We can't complain to our MP's, because they're all on the take too.

Welcome to Liverpool.

How the council use Ripa to spy on you....
