THE COWARDS WAY....

BOTH the cowardly cowboy, Fireman Bradley and cowardly Colin CoverUp were nowhere to be seen today.

Too frightened to stand in front of the cameras and defend their abysmal record of failure, they took refuge under their desks and behind closed doors.

This is the behaviour we have now sadly come to expect from the Lib Dim Leader of Liverpool city council and the £250,000 a year (plus Performance Related Pay) chief executive.

Fireman Bradley, who is getting his trade a bad name as each day passes, is not normally so reluctant to get his picture taken or to attempt to recite a semi-intelligible statement handed to him on a piece of paper by a spin doctor.
Bradley and Hilton have no integrity and no courage. They shame Liverpool.

From behind their Town Hall shields, they instead threw the smiling assassin Halsall out to face the world's press.

(We took some pleasure in this, since as Executive Director for Resources, Halsall bears much - but not all - of the responsibility for Liverpool's bottom of the league position, eds)

But displaying breathtaking arrogance and complacency, Hasitall contrived to make matters worse!

His litany of excuses and typically patronising attempt to rubbish the Audit Commission's official ratings formula, underlined how much Liverpool has to do to clean up its act.

Radio Merseyside's Roger Phillips sounded thoroughly non-plussed to find Hasitall in total denial.

The BBC's Gordon Burns looked genuinely gob-smacked as the slouching Hasitall gave the distinct impression that he was distinctly tired of all this silly nonsense.

The only voice of sanity came from the Audit Commission who may well now have lost patience with the city council and their willingess or ability to put things right.

We might see some movement here in the next few weeks.

For our part, we would strongly suggest that the decent and honourable course of action for the men who have caused this mess, would be to submit their resignations with immediate effect.

We know who they are.

You know who they are.

And thankfully, as each day passes, the people of Liverpool are beginning to know who they are.

NB: We still have Jase to look forward to on City Talk tomorrow morning. After our free plug the other day City decided to save a bit of dosh and reduce their full page advert to just a quarter page: "The gag's been lifted...let's talk".

But stand by for a load of self-justificatory tosh from the Harbarrowboy.

He too will fail to admit any responsibility or failure.

After all, it's part of the Job Description.

Wet Nellies are you men or mice?

If you give a monkey a gun and it shoots someone, who do you blame the monkey or the person who gave them the gun?

Its the same for Liverpool, if you give the Lib Dumbs power and they do this who do you blame?

Answers on a postcard to the Tonys please you might even get a prize

Hey Tone, You should be writing leaders for the Echo!

Is anyone else listening to the contrived bollocks on City Talk?

Hands up all who think the weak questions are gonna continue till time runs out so he doesn't have to face the public.

Yet again another cop out!

Phil Easton: "Perhaps you think we're doing a great job with the questions we're asking"

WHAT?! No, I don't!

Now they have switched to no phone-in just emails and txts so they can get away with not probing as they allow the Harbarrowboy to gloss over everything including the fact that he was in charge of this mess!

Yes Jason YOU where responsible; for the organisation of the team, how money was spent, the catastrophic failure of the Mathew Street Festival yada, yada, yada...

funniest thing was easton asking if mathew st was canceled becos of the money and harbarrow saying no, we could always find money for things. which is why there is a 20 million black hole, presmuably. and its our money he spent. the guy is in denial. he doesn't see it does he? its a crap non event.

that bill heckle is a bit depressing isn't he?

are they ever gonna ask jase anything that matters? it was henshaw who appointed robbing. that was a misatake. but he has a great relationship with diddy and won't say anything against him. says it all really.

why is he reporting bradley to the standards board then. jesus what a whitewash this is?

his team hate him

no wonder hes 'not bitter'. hes gone off with 230K of our money and has been on the sick for months doing bugger all!

They haven't even asked him about his regular long weekends in spain. Easton is such a sycophant.

Shallow interview. Just like Jase. And City Talk.

Is that it?

I see Phils got his hols at the Hacienda sorted now!

Most important question of the day being: "Who's gonna pay for Breakfast"!!

I hope I'm not alone in thinking there are a few more questions of greater importance than that, but it then again it summed up the inadequacies of the interviewers.

Talk about hard hitting journalism - that was a definate example of how not to do it!

Jeremy Paxman can rest easy!

Nice touch with the questions from listeners very taxing - NOT!!

Funniest thing was Harborow saying he was being bullied - and no one asking by whom or how? Really rigorous stuff. That Duncan bloke was congratulating himself for asking Jason if he felt bullied. 'Yes' says Jason. Err, that was it. Pathetic really.

I've just listened to Ally macray from the Echo. He is on a different plant to the rest of us. HE's another one who clearly thinks the people of Liverpool are total zombies. Talking about his exclusive about an ecstasy find in wavertree (not at Bradley's house apparently). And then slagging off the media for concentrating on negative stories about Liverpool. Pot and kettle sprang to mind as I munched my cornflakes.

There was mention of Rex Makin what happened? why did we hear no more? Rex would have livened it up

He did say they operate a blame culture and that they were asking too much of the team in the Culture Company by constantly increasing the workload especially over the Birthday weekend also he did state there were some resource issues.
Is this not why Forde resigned?
Its what he has said all along.

I bet for 2008 they put into place Forde's Plans for Mathew Street 2007 and give it the budget he wanted.

This completely backs up Forde's Constructive dismissal case.

that duncan bloke is a real twat. he loves himself. he has just come out with some cod-profound piece about diana. he thinks he is being really insightful - and he keeps on pausing between his sentences to let the full import of his words sink into the consciousness of us poor ignorant listeners. i keep on shaking my radio becaus i think i have suddenly lost the signal. Perhaps i should throw it out the window? Radio rogerside is better than this bollocks.

the vision of machray being on a different plant has had me chuckling all morning....

Gee thanks, Frustrated Listener, I tried to get the 'boys' in today for a chat. Informed all, too busy for the forceable future. Probably rehearsing what to say at the grillings from the Standards board. Also looking for the begging bowls they will need to cover the coming budget defeceit.
Methinks the District Auditors will be soon be feeling collars, they screwed Degsy and the 47 so why not this gang of inadequates!
Time for Mr Mulhearn to come on the airwaves to remind what happened!

I'm on nights but I stayed up just to listen to Orange funny faces revelations and what a complete load of shite he spoke. I then had the misfortune to hear Diamond Mike Storey (They kept calling him ex council leader conveniently forgetting to put in the word 'disgraced' to give him his full title) in the evening with his carefully placed callers from Party HQ.

At one point Storey said we didn't need £20 million from the Government,We hadn't asked for it, we have it and just needed permission to spend our own money and this was let go by the presenter who's name I can't be bothered remembering.

We all know they don't have the £20 million, they never have had it, they have asked for it and been turned down and now they want to sell council assets to raise it.

Harbarrow and Storey are wordsmiths, they use their tongues better than £500 a night hookers but they weren't even taxed by their pathetic questioning today. Citytalk is even more craven than the Echo if such a thing is possible.

City Talk wasted the opportunity to ask some extremely valid and pressing questions to our pie-loving hero.
I had never listened to that channel before and frankly wont bother to tune in my wireless again.

Hang on a minute though is that the channel that the Evil Dark Diddy Darth Hacksaw is a shareholder in? - is that perhaps why his mate Jase got a free platform to spin more lies and untruths than even the Lib Dumb fireman did?

Anonymous said...

I am sure you will find Jase is a shareholder in Talk Radio too

I am sure everyone has noticed how noble Jason is now being in complaining to the Standards Board about bullying etc, in the professed hope that, now that he has gone, it might prevent the same happening to other people left behind. Pity he couldn't demonstrate such nobility when Matt Finnegan was bullied and framed by Henshaw and the cabalists, isn't it? Or when Lee Forde was being bullied to deliver the Mathew Street Festival when the budget was cut. Oooops it was Jason who was doing the bullying then, wasn't it? Hypocrite.

How the council use Ripa to spy on you....
